School in a Box
For ages 9 & up
This class will be an overview
of the art of making a movie. Students will learn about
equipment, various jobs on a
movie set, and special effects make-up. Then, in small
groups, they will get a chance
to make their own movie! The last day of class will be the
world premiere of all student
movies!
Taught by Stephen Folker, by
day a photographer, by night an aspiring
independent film maker.
Wednesdays, 5:00 - 6:00 $135
Musical
Theatre
For ages 8 & up
In this class, students will
learn several songs from popular musicals, and then add the
choreography and acting to
become "triple threats"! The finished product will be
presented on the last day of
class. New teachers! Taught by Megan Piechouski and
Jamie Em Behncke, from 2011's
Drama Boot Camp!
Thursdays, 4:00 - 5:00 $135
Performance
Ensemble
For ages 8 & up
This class develops and
performs their own original play. Each student creates a
character, then a play is
written especially for the class. Students are involved in
the
setting, lights and costumes as
well as performing. The play is presented on the last day
of class. Experience in all
facets of presenting a play!

The winter session is 8 weeks
long, from the Jan. 18th through March 8th. All classes take
place at the Village Theatre,
2113 E. 11th St. in the Village of East
